HAGEN - Corridors Of time ( Angular Rec. / Pängg) More often what new! Already the Intro shows the way: the folklorish sounds which mix gently with guitar and drums. But gently it does not remain on this debut Swedish Hagen beileibt. Already in the following instrumental " For Kristin " it is quick to the thing. Progressive song structures, with singing (vocalist Michael Ohlson reminds now and again of Jeff Scott Soto), guitar, bass, Keys and drums, paired with the sounds of an electric violin. Certainly(safely), so again is not since Kansas perhaps. However, their(her) music was based on the blues (what is also randily!) and has never had this folklorish background how him the Sweden celebrate here. And the fact that this folklore is also suitable for parties definitely, one hears with "Questions": a piece full of swing of good mood. On the other hand the carried " Mountain reminding of Jewish folklore song ". A debut which is full before originality and cheerfulness only so. And somehow appears to me that Swedish folk is rather similar to the Irish one. One of the most interesting works progressive Rockgestaltens of the last years.
