HAGEN : CORRIDORS OF TIME
The band comes from Sweden, or Norway, if I am not mistaken, something that works like a guarantee for the quality of their music. The style that they are playing is very interesting, specially if you are into Melodic stuff with Folk elements. The band is playing Heavy Metal, that often sounds like Power Metal, some others sounds closer to Classic Heavy Metal, but with two things are always staying the same in their music, their strong and well written melodies, and the Folk elements, something that makes their music much more interesting than the average Power Metal or Melodic band. The use of hammond, that gives a 70's feeling in some of the songs, mellotron and electric violin, gives the band a style very close to Mago De Oz, or even Skyclad sometimes, but above all, a style that can easily be described as their own. The majority of the arrangements are very good, well written and well worked, with nice ideas, catchy music and vocal lines. The production is very good, clear and sharp enough, and helps the music very much by pointing to the listener all the details of it. If you like Metal married with Folk, check these guys, cause they have something nice to offer.
